What is it?

I am starting this Blog with a definition because I know that I am using a term that is uncommon. So, here we go.

Progressive Energy is a way to describe producing more energy than you consume using renewable sources and high energy efficiency. And which, are high performance, sustainable, economical, and can be mass produced. Notice that I did not use the term green. I find that term a bit misleading. For example, someone might call using wood to build a house "green" because it is renewable, but it also depends on what type of wood and how was it grown and even how it was cut and used.

I view it as a way to "pursue happiness" when it comes to the impact that we do on the surface of the planet. I don't feel that we should have everything like the old days nor do I feel like every thing must change for change sake. But, there has to be some reason behind the action that we do and we must reason it out fully. I also feel there needs to have good science basis for arguments for our actions.
